Arrest Netanyahu Protests
On independent assignment, on July 24th, 2024, I went to Washington, D.C., to cover the widespread protesting and outrage surrounding Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s Congressional Address
Alongside organizers “Party for Socialism and Liberation,” (PSL) thousands of individuals and organizations gathered to begin protesting at the intersection of Pennsylvania Ave and 3rd Street in Washington D.C.
Attendees were there to demand the arrest of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who was scheduled to address Congress that afternoon. They reference the decision of Karim Khan, Prosecutor of the International Court of Justice, to request arrest warrants on both Israeli and Hamas leaders, including Prime Minister Netanyahu.

Pictured above is Fareed, compelled to attend the July 24th protest because "a war criminal (describing Netanyahu), by international law has been called to address the congress of the United States of America. Ignoring all of the calls from around the world to arrest this war criminal." He describes that he, alongside all of the people in the protests attendance, say "no" to this address.
"The majority of people know what is going on. The majority understand what is happening in terms of genocide and mass murdering of the Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank." He finds courage in knowing that this group of thousands of people had gathered to protest this address.
Though born and raised in Jordan, and being of Jordanian heritage, he has family in the West Bank. "I hope this ends. I hope peace and prosperity for everyone."
